The 2021 Subaru Forester is Available in Sioux City and it's Showing the Competition What it Means to be a Crossover
Since 1997, drivers here in the Sioux City area, and across the country, have turned to one vehicle above all others when they want an SUV crossover model that's stylish, comfortable, spacious, and safe. The Subaru Forester is one of the first, and most popular, crossovers to hit the road, and the 2021 models we currently have available at Jensen Subaru continue the Forester traditions of excellence and performance.
While the Subaru Forester is one of the original crossovers that drivers have counted on for years, we know that it's not the only one competing for attention right now. To help you decide on the best fit for your family's driving needs, we've put our Forester side by side with a couple of its main competitors. Read on to learn more and to see for yourself some of the ways in which the 2021 Subaru Forester distinguishes itself in competition and comes out ahead.
The Subaru Forester vs. the Toyota RAV4
- Standard all-wheel drive. Here in the Sioux City and Vermillion area, we can expect upwards of 30 inches of snow every year, higher than the national average of 28 inches every year. This means that many of the drivers who are looking for a new vehicle are probably looking for something that provides the added traction and extra peace of mind of all-wheel drive. While both the Toyota RAV4 and the Subaru Forester have all-wheel drive available, only the Subaru makes it standard across the lineup and for every driver.
- Passenger space and comfort. Front to back and side to side, you can expect more room to stretch out in and get comfortable in the Subaru Forester when compared to the Toyota RAV4. The Forester has greater amounts of headroom, legroom, and shoulder room in both the front and the backseat, so even your tallest passengers and gangly teenagers will be happy on road trips long or short.
- Standard amenities. Looking for cutting-edge features and creature comforts on your new SUV? Both of these models have a nice list you'll appreciate, but the Subaru Forester has several that are standard equipment, but not standard with the RAV4. These include automatic climate control, adaptive headlights that swivel to make cornering at night safer, and much more.
The Subaru Forester vs. the Honda CR-V
- Standard features. Whether it's for tech, connectivity, or safety, the Subaru Forester has more of the features that Le Mars drivers are looking for on their new crossover. Every Forester in our collection comes with a standard roster of amenities that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, adaptive LED headlights that swivel and turn with the vehicle, a touchscreen infotainment system, and much more. These features are only listed as options with the Honda CR-V, if they're available at all.
- Fuel range and capacity. Everyone wants to get the most out of their fill up, and the Subaru Forester can help. Our Subaru crossover has a fuel tank capacity of 16.6 gallons, compared to the CR-V capacity of 14 gallons. This will help you travel 548 miles on the highway and 432 miles in the city every time you fill up your Subaru Forester, and just 476 miles on the highway and 392 miles in the city per tank of gas in the Honda.
- Symmetrical all-wheel drive. As a top-quality Subaru model, every Forester comes standard with the added bonus of the signature Subaru Symmetrical All-wheel Drive system. Regardless of which trim configuration you prefer, you can look forward to all-wheel drive across the board. But the Honda CR-V doesn't have this feature standard, it's listed as optional and available upon request.
